Goffrey had this idea of re-approaching "Fire and Rain" with a minimalist beat background. We got together one afternoon in his little garage studio in Los Feliz and this is what happened. It was really fun adding the background vocal section to give it a little lift - to try and honor the original and still take it a little bit left.
